The Lead Finder searches a large database of contacts, companies and job postings so you can build prospect lists without leaving Connie. Search and preview for free, then import the results you want into a list in Records. Where: left sidebar → Records → the Find people, Find companies or Find jobs card at the top · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/records You can also start it from New → New list → Quick options, or from inside a list with Actions → Find leads → Find people / Find companies (results go straight into that list).

Find people

1

Open Find people

On the Records page, click Find people (“Find your ideal customers from over 600m available contacts”).
2

Describe who you want, or set filters

Type into Find people using AI — for example “VPs of Sales at UK SaaS companies with 50–200 employees” — and press Enter. Connie turns it into filters. Or set filters yourself:
  • Job Title & Seniority: Current seniority, Current job title, Current job title to exclude, Previous seniority, Previous job titles.
  • Company: Company name (and to exclude), Industry (and to exclude), Company type (and to exclude), Company size, Company keywords (and to exclude).
  • Company signals: Annual revenue, Monthly web traffic, Monthly Google ad spend, Minimum LinkedIn followers, Founded year, NAICS and SIC codes (and to exclude).
  • Locations: Country, City, Sales Region, Continent.
  • Education: Education, Education to Exclude.
  • Company Headquarters: HQ Country, HQ City, HQ Sales Region, HQ Continent.
3

Check the preview

Results update automatically as you change filters — there’s no Search button. The footer shows “Showing N of M people”. The preview shows up to 50 rows.
4

Click Continue and choose how many

Pick 100 leads, 1,000 leads, All leads (N) or Custom (“Number of leads you want to import”). Each option shows its cost: Free, or a coin with the number of credits. Optionally switch on Find email and Find phone number (paid per result found — see below) or Add to flow to send the leads into a workflow. Click Continue.
5

Choose the list

In Add to list, keep Create new list and enter a List name, or pick an existing list. Badges such as “N mapped” / “N created” show how the incoming fields match your columns — click one to open Map columns and change it. Click Create list or Add to list.
6

Watch it import

Connie opens the list straight away and records stream in behind a progress message.

Find companies

Click Find companies (“Find your ideal accounts from over 600m available companies”). Choose how to search:
  • Firmographics — “Build broad ICP lists fast from who they are, best for top-of-funnel coverage.” Filter by Company Profile, Company Signals, Advanced (NAICS/SIC), Company Headquarters, Growth & Signals, and Lookalike Companies (paste a company URL to find similar ones). The footer shows “Showing N of M companies”.
  • Find local businesses — “Discover businesses on Google Maps by description and location”. Describe the business type and the area, for example “dentists in Manchester”. Up to 1,000 businesses per import.
Then click Continue, choose how many, and pick a list — the same as Find people. Companies don’t have the Find email / Find phone number switches.
The Firmographics card shows a Free badge, but company imports follow the same free allowance and credit pricing as people (below). The cost shown next to each count after you click Continue is what you’ll actually be charged.

Find jobs

Use Find jobs (“Build a live TAM from hiring intent, millions of job postings”) to find companies that are hiring — a strong sign they’re growing or have budget. TAM means your total addressable market: every company that could buy from you.
1

Describe the roles

Type into the AI box, for example “open SDR roles at US fintech companies posted in the last 15 days”, or set filters: Job criteria (Job title, Keywords, Field / discipline, Seniority (years), Employment type, Work arrangement), Location (Country, City) and Hiring company (Industry, Company size, Company keywords).
2

Check the preview

The footer reads “Previewing N jobs”.
3

Click Continue

Connie imports the previewed job postings into a new list of its own (never into People or Companies). You’ll see “Imported N job postings into the list.”
Each Find jobs import brings in one page of up to 50 postings. To get more, run another search with different filters.

Free allowance and credit costs

Credits are Connie’s usage currency — see Credits. Example: importing 1,100 people when you still have all 1,000 free leads costs 10 credits (100 paid leads ÷ 10).
  • The allowance is shared by everyone in the workspace, and People and Companies each have their own.
  • “Rolling 30 days” means each import’s free leads come back 30 days after that import — not on the 1st of the month.
  • You pay only for new records the import creates. A lead that matches a record you already have is linked into your list and isn’t charged. Connie reserves the credits when the import starts — “X credits reserved for this import (N free leads used). Unused credits are refunded when it finishes.”
  • Imports of more than 1,000 leads or more than 100 credits ask you to confirm in Confirm a large import (“Import N leads into … ? This uses X credits.” or “This import is free.”).

Good to know

  • Duplicates: imported people are matched to existing records by LinkedIn URL, and companies by website, plus your duplicate rules. An existing match is linked into your list instead of being created again.
  • Custom counts above the number of results are lowered automatically: “Adjusted to N, the max available”.
  • From Chat: ask Connie to find leads and it can open the Lead Finder pre-filled with your request.
  • Emails and phones are only looked up when you switch on Find email / Find phone number. You can also add them later with an enrichment column.

Troubleshooting

Why: the import goes past your free allowance and your balance is too low. The full message reads “Insufficient credits: importing N leads (F free) costs X credits for the P above your free allowance.” (“companies” instead of “leads” for a company import). Nothing was imported or charged. Fix: import fewer leads, wait for free leads to come back (rolling 30 days), or add credits / upgrade your plan.
Why: the Free badge on the Firmographics card is out of date. Company imports get 1,000 free per rolling 30 days, then 1 credit per 10. Fix: check the cost next to the count after clicking Continue — that’s the real price.
Why: Connie reserves credits for the number you chose and refunds the unused part when the import finishes. Leads that matched records you already had aren’t charged either. Fix: wait for the import to finish, then check your usage in Settings → Logs. See Credits.
Why: the 1,000 free leads are per workspace (shared by all members) and per type, over a rolling 30 days. Fix: wait for older imports to drop out of the window, or add credits.
Why: Find email / Find phone number were off, or no result was found (misses are free). Fix: add a Find email or phone enrichment column and run it on Empty rows. See Enrichment.
Why: the same import was submitted twice. Fix: start a fresh import from the Lead Finder.
Why: each Find jobs import is one page of up to 50. Fix: run more searches with different filters.
Why: nothing matched your filters. Fix: remove some filters or widen the location.
Why: you started several local-business imports in a short time. Fix: wait a moment, then try again.
Why: no filters are set yet. Fix: add at least one filter or type a request into the AI box.
