| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Agent | An AI worker you set up once with instructions, tools and triggers. It runs on its own (for example every morning, or when an email arrives) and asks for approval when it needs to. See Agents. |
| Approval | A pause where Connie waits for a person to approve or reject an action before it runs, such as sending an email. See Approvals and Approval cards in chat. |
| Artifact | Something Connie creates for you in chat, such as a document, file or small app, that you can open, share or publish. See Sharing and artifacts. |
| Ask Connie | The button on many pages that opens a chat panel beside what you’re looking at. |
| Automation | Anything that runs for you without you typing each step: workflows, agents and scheduled tasks. Workflows and scheduled tasks are listed under Automations; agents have their own page. See Automations. |
| Auto top-up | Automatically buys more credits when your balance drops below a threshold you set. See Top-ups. |
| Calls | The Inbox view for the dialer, a power dialer: Connie dials your list one person at a time from your browser and you do the talking. Answered calls appear here. See Calls and the dialer. |
| Calling sequence | A list of people to call, opened in the dialer. |
| Connected account | One of your accounts in another app (a Gmail mailbox, a LinkedIn profile, a Slack workspace) that you’ve connected in Tools so Connie can act on it. See Connect your accounts. |
| Credits | The currency Connie runs on. AI replies, paid tools, lead imports past the free allowance and recorded calls use credits. See Credits. |
| Draft / Live | A workflow in Draft only runs when you run it by hand. Set live turns on its trigger so it runs automatically. See Test and run. |
| Environment variable | A secret value (like an API key for another service) saved in Settings → Environment and used in workflows without showing it. See Environment variables. |
| Field | A column on an object, such as Email or Job title on People. See Objects and fields. |
| Lead Finder | Search for new people or companies with the Find people, Find companies or Find jobs card at the top of Records, then import them into a list. See Lead Finder. |
| List | A saved set of records from one object, with its own filters, columns and views, for example “Fintech heads of marketing”. See Lists and views. |
| MCP | Model Context Protocol, the standard that lets AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use Connie’s tools. See Connie in your AI apps. |
| Meetings | The Inbox view for meetings Connie recorded, with transcripts, insights and action items. See Meetings. |
| Object | A type of record, like People, Companies, Deals or Tasks, or a custom object you create. See Objects and fields. |
| Permission (tool) | Whether Connie may run a tool without asking: Always allow, Ask before running or Disabled. See Tool permissions. |
| Record | One row in an object, such as one person or one company. |
| Run | One execution of a workflow for one record. The Runs tab shows each step’s result. |
| Scheduled task | An instruction Connie repeats on a schedule in a chat, for example “every Monday, summarise last week’s replies”. See Scheduled tasks. |
| Skill | A reusable playbook that tells Connie how to do a task your way. Run it with a /command in chat. See Skills. |
| Step | One box on a workflow’s canvas: a trigger, an action (tool) or logic like a router. Also called a node. See Build a workflow. |
| Tool | Anything Connie can do: a built-in tool (like Find Email), an action in an app you connect (like Send Slack Message), or a workspace tool (like creating a record). Formerly called Connectors. See Tools. |
| Trial | 14 days of any paid plan, free, with 1,000 credits; nothing is charged until day 14 (a card is added to start). See Free trial. |
| Trigger | What starts a workflow: a schedule, an event (like an email arriving), every row of a list, a webhook, or running it manually. See Triggers. |
| Variable | A placeholder in a workflow step, like {{Find Email.Work Email}}, that Connie replaces with real data when the workflow runs. See Variables. |
| Webhook | A private web address that starts a workflow when another app sends data to it. See Webhooks. |
| Workflow | A set of steps Connie runs in order, for example: for every lead, find their email, write a personal message, send it. See Automations. |
| Workspace | Your team’s space in Connie. Records, automations, connected accounts, members and credits all belong to a workspace. See Members and roles. |
