Already keep your contacts in another CRM? Connie can copy them into Records so your lists, workflows and agents can use them. HubSpot, Attio and folk connect as a live sync that keeps pulling in changes. Other CRMs (Pipedrive, Salesforce, Breakcold and more) import from the CSV files you export from them. Where: left sidebar → Records → open a list (for example People) → Actions → Import → Import from CRM · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/records/people
The Import from CRM quick option in New → New list only creates an empty list — it doesn’t import. Use Actions → Import → Import from CRM inside a list.

Sync HubSpot, Attio or folk

1

Open Import from CRM

Open a list, then Actions → Import → Import from CRM. The dialog asks Where are you moving from? (“Connect a supported CRM or import your CSV files.”)
2

Pick your CRM

Click HubSpot, Attio or folk. The next screen is Sync your HubSpot data (or Attio / folk).
3

Connect or choose an account

Click Connect HubSpot (or Attio / folk) and sign in to that app, or pick an account you’ve already connected. Use Connect another to add a second account.
4

Choose what to sync

Pick the objects to bring in — People, Companies and/or Deals. For folk, also choose Deal pipelines: “Folk stores deals inside groups. Choose which pipelines should populate Connie Deals.”
5

Map the columns

On Map columns, check where each CRM field goes. Each CSV column / field shows a Sample value and a Map to choice. Company and deal names must map to the Company and Deal name fields.
6

Start the sync

Click Start sync. When the first import finishes you’ll see “Synced N HubSpot records and linked M relationships.”
After the first import, the sync keeps running on its own:
The sync is one-way, into Connie. Edits you make to records in Connie are not sent back to HubSpot, Attio or folk.

Import from Pipedrive, Salesforce, Breakcold or another CRM (CSV)

1

Export from your CRM

In your CRM, export People (contacts), Companies (organisations/accounts) and/or Deals as CSV files. For Pipedrive, click View export tutorial in the dialog for that CRM’s instructions.
2

Open Import from CRM

In Connie, open a list → Actions → Import → Import from CRM, then click Pipedrive or Other (use Other for Salesforce, Breakcold and any other CRM).
3

Upload the files

On Upload your CSV files, drop in your exports (“Add any People, Companies, or Deals exports. You can import one, two, or all three.”). Connie works out which file is which. If it recognises your CRM’s export format you’ll see “Recognised … formatting — its import rules will be used.”
4

Map the columns and import

Check Map columns, then continue. Connie links people to their companies and deals for you. You’ll see “Imported N records and linked M relationships.”
CSV imports are one-off. To pick up later changes, export and import again — your duplicate rules stop copies being created.

Good to know

  • Who can sync: only workspace owners and admins can run a HubSpot, Attio or folk sync. See Members and roles.
  • Duplicates: CRM imports use the duplicate rules in Settings → Objects (“CRM imports inherit them”). By default People match on email or LinkedIn URL, and Companies on LinkedIn URL or website.
  • What comes across: People, Companies and Deals, with the links between them (a person’s company, a deal’s people).

Troubleshooting

Why: that card only creates an empty list. Fix: open a list (for example People), then Actions → Import → Import from CRM.
Why: running a CRM sync needs the owner or admin role. Fix: ask a workspace owner or admin to run it, or to change your role.
Why: HubSpot and Attio changes arrive about every 15 minutes, folk changes once a day. Fix: wait for the next sync.
Why: the sync only goes from your CRM into Connie. Fix: make the change in your CRM too.
Why: some people, companies or deals point to records that weren’t in the import (for example a deal’s company wasn’t exported). Fix: include the related object’s file or sync it as well, then import again.
Why: no object was ticked. Fix: tick People, Companies and/or Deals.
Why: the connection to your CRM failed or has expired. Fix: reconnect the account (Connect HubSpot, or see Connect accounts), then try again. Contact support if it keeps failing.
Why: two uploaded files were assigned to the same object. Fix: set each file to a different object (People, Companies or Deals).
