When you connect an AI app to Connie, you sign in once and pick a Default workspace. This page explains how workspaces work over MCP, and how to see, revoke and reconnect the AI apps you’ve authorized. Where: left sidebar → Tools → My accounts tab · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/tools?tab=my-accounts. You can also get there from Settings → Developers → Integrations.

How workspaces work

  • One sign-in reaches all your workspaces. The access screen says: “[App] will be able to access all workspaces you belong to. This only sets the default workspace for requests that don’t specify one.”
  • The Default workspace is where your AI app works when you don’t say otherwise. You choose it on the access screen. If you have six or more workspaces, use the Search workspaces box to find one. Your role is shown in brackets where it isn’t member, for example “Acme (owner)”.
  • Your role applies in each workspace. Owners, admins and members can read and make changes. Guests can only read.

Work in a different workspace

Just name the workspace in your request, for example: “Add these people to the Leads list in the Acme Sales workspace.” Your AI app looks up your workspaces and runs that request there. Anything you don’t name still goes to your default. To see which workspaces your app can reach, ask: “List my Connie workspaces.”

Change your default workspace

Reconnecting alone doesn’t work. If your AI app still has a live sign-in, Connie skips the access screen and keeps the old default. Revoke first, then connect again:
1

Revoke the app in Connie

2

Connect again from your AI app

In your AI app, connect or authenticate Connie again. For example, in Claude open Connie in Customize → Connectors and click Connect. In Claude Code, run /mcp → connie → Authenticate.
3

Pick the new default

On the access screen, choose the new Default workspace and click Allow access.
Advanced: pin one app entry to a workspace. If your app lets you set the server URL, use https://mcp.connie.ai?workspaceId=<workspace-id>. That entry then defaults to that workspace, whatever you picked on the access screen. Copy the workspace ID from your browser’s address bar in Connie (see Navigating Connie). Paste it rather than retyping it.

See the AI apps you’ve connected

Open Tools → My accounts. Each AI app you’ve authorized has its own card, named after the app (for example Claude, Cursor or Codex).
  • Only you: these cards are personal. Teammates can’t see your AI apps, and each teammate authorizes their own.
  • Connected: the app has a live sign-in.
  • Reconnect needed: the app has no live sign-in left. Connect it again from the app.
Open a card to see “N active authorizations · first granted [date] · last used [date]”. Under Authorizations, each sign-in shows “Authorized [date]”, “Last used [date]” (or “never”) and a short ID.

Revoke an AI app’s access

Revoking removes that app’s access to every workspace you belong to, not just this one.
1

Remove Connie in the AI app first

Remove or disable Connie in the AI app. For example, disconnect it in Claude’s Customize → Connectors, run claude mcp remove connie, or delete the connie entry from mcp.json and fully restart Cursor or VS Code. If you skip this, some apps keep retrying and open new sign-in tabs.
2

Open the app's card in Connie

Go to Tools → My accounts and click the app’s card.
3

Revoke

To end one sign-in, click Revoke next to it under Authorizations and confirm Revoke authorization. To end all of them, click Revoke access (or Revoke all access if there are several) and confirm. The confirmation reads: “Every [App] authorization on your account is revoked across all workspaces you belong to. [App] will need to sign in again before its next call.”
Revoking takes effect on the app’s very next request.

Reconnect an app

Connect again from the AI app as you did the first time, and click Allow access. If the card shows Reconnect needed, that’s all you need to do.

Good to know

  • Staying signed in: your AI app renews its access in the background. If it isn’t used for 30 days, it needs to sign in again.
  • Removed from a workspace? Your AI app loses access to that workspace straight away. Your other workspaces keep working.
  • Deleted workspace: MCP can’t reach a deleted workspace. To get it back, email support@connie.ai within 7 days of the deletion. Otherwise, pick another default. See Members and roles.
  • API keys can’t switch workspaces. A key belongs to one workspace. To use several workspaces, connect with sign-in (OAuth) instead. See API keys.

Troubleshooting

Why: the app still had a live sign-in, so Connie kept your earlier choice. Fix: revoke the app in Tools → My accounts, then connect again and pick the new default.
Why: the app retries automatically, and every retry opens Connie’s access screen. Connie shows the banner ‘You recently revoked [App]’. Fix: click Cancel, remove the Connie entry from the app’s settings, fully quit and reopen the app (a window reload isn’t enough), then revoke in Connie.
Why: your AI app tried a workspace you don’t belong to, or were removed from, or the workspace ID in a pinned URL is wrong. Fix: ask your AI app to list your workspaces and use one of them, or ask that workspace’s admin to invite you.
Why: you’re a guest in that workspace. Fix: ask a workspace admin to make you a member. See Members and roles.
