Analytics is your workspace dashboard. It shows how your outreach is performing (messages, replies, positive reply rate), how many calls you had, and how much pipeline you created. You can add your own charts from any object, list or workflow, group them into views, and share a view with teammates or with people outside Connie.
Where: click your name and workspace at the bottom of the left sidebar → Analytics · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/analytics
Analytics isn’t in the left sidebar. Open it from the menu under your name at the bottom left. See Navigating Connie.
What’s on the page
- Header: Ask Connie (opens Connie’s AI assistant next to the page), Share, and Add metric.
- Toolbar: the view picker (shows the current view’s name, for example Default), a filter button, and the date range (for example Last 90 days).
- Cards and charts for the selected view.
A view is a named dashboard: its own set of cards and charts, its own date range, its own filters and its own sharing. Every workspace has a Default view. You can add as many custom views as you like.
The Default view
Every workspace gets a Default view the first time anyone opens Analytics. It can’t be renamed or deleted. It starts with six built-in cards and two built-in charts, and you can add your own metrics to it too.
Each card shows the change against the previous period of the same length (for example, the last 90 days against the 90 days before that).
Built-in charts:
- Outbound activity over time — counts per day, week or month. Series: Messages sent, Emails sent, Replies, Positive replies, Calls booked. Click a series name in the legend to show or hide it.
- Call outcomes — calls stacked by sentiment: Positive, Neutral, Negative, Unknown. Click a bar to see the calls behind it.
To change a built-in chart, open its ⋮ menu → Edit. You can rename it, choose which series to show (keep at least one on) and pick the Time buckets size. If a bucket size doesn’t fit the range, the chart falls back to automatic.
Hide and restore built-in cards
- Open the card’s or chart’s ⋮ menu → Delete.
- To bring it back, click Deleted (N) in the toolbar (it only appears on the Default view after you’ve removed something).
- Click Restore followed by the item name, or Restore all.
Pick a date range
Open the date range
Click the date range button at the top right of the toolbar.
Choose a range
Pick All time, Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 365 days, This month, This quarter or This year. Or choose Custom range… and pick the start and end dates on the calendar.
The range is saved on the view, so changing it changes the view for everyone who uses it. New views start at Last 90 days. All time has no previous period to compare with, so cards don’t show a change.
Filter a view
Open filters
Click the filter button in the toolbar. When filters are on, it shows how many.
Add rules
On the Default view, click Add filter and pick a field. You can filter by:
- Messages: Channel (Email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp), Direction (Sent, Received), Sentiment (Positive, Neutral, Negative), Account
- Calls fields
- Deals fields
- Associated record: fields of the linked company, contact or deal
Each rule only narrows the metrics that come from its own source. Switch between AND and OR to decide whether all rules or any rule must match. Or describe it
Type what you want in the box Type in natural language to add filters, for example “LinkedIn only, positive replies”, and Connie adds the rules for you.
Custom views have a filter popover per data source. Filters are saved on the view, just like the date range.
Create a custom view
Open the view picker
Click the current view’s name in the toolbar (for example Default).
Add the view
Click + Add view, type a name (up to 60 characters) and save.
Fill it
A new view is empty. Type what you want in the prompt box (for example “deal value by stage as a bar chart”) and click Build it, or click Add metric to build one by hand.
To rename, duplicate or delete a view, open the view picker and click ⋮ next to it → Rename, Duplicate or Delete. The Default view can only be duplicated. Deleting a view removes its metrics for good: “This permanently deletes the “X” view and its metrics. This can’t be undone.”
Connie remembers the last view you opened in this browser.
Want to try a different range or filter without changing a shared view for everyone? Duplicate the view and change your copy.
Add a metric
A metric is one card or chart. You can build it by describing it, or step by step.
Open the builder
Click Add metric at the top right. A side panel opens with a live Preview.
Describe it (optional)
Under Build with AI, describe the metric, for example “average deal value by stage as a bar chart” or “connection acceptance rate by campaign”, and click Generate metric. Connie fills in the settings below. Adjust anything you like.
Choose the type
Pick Single metric (one value or one breakdown) or Comparison trend (lines over time).
Choose the data source
- Lists: People, Companies, Deals, Tasks, Calls, your custom objects, and your lists.
- Workflows: the action steps of a workflow. Use Action to pick the step and the result you want to count.
- Outreach: the outreach numbers from the Default view.
Add Filters if you only want some records (tick Include empty values to keep records where the field is blank), and set the Time period. Click + Add data source to compare several sources. Each data source becomes one line on the chart.Choose the calculation
Under Metric, pick Count records, Count runs, Count duplicates, Sum, Average, Median, Min or Max of a field, Percentage / rate (with an Out of group to divide by), or Time in stage (days).
Group, compare and sort (optional)
- Group by a field, and optionally keep only groups that meet a condition.
- Break down by a second field to split each group into a stacked series, for example deals per month split by stage.
- Compare to Previous period or Same period last year (not available for All time).
- Sort by Default order, Value high→low, Value low→high or Alphabetical, and Show top N to keep only the biggest groups.
Pick a chart and save
Choose a visualization: Single, Bar, Pie, Line, Table, Matrix or Funnel. Click Add metric to save it to the current view.
To change a metric later, open its ⋮ menu → Edit, make your changes and click Update metric. The same menu has Duplicate and Delete.
Drag cards and charts to reorder them. The order is saved on the view.
You can also ask Connie in Chat to build a dashboard or a metric for you. It opens in Analytics.
Share a view
Open sharing
Open the view and click Share at the top right.
Choose who inside the workspace can see it
Choose Everyone in workspace or Selected members only. For selected members, set each person to Can view or Can edit. The Default view is always shared with everyone in the workspace, so this part can’t be narrowed for it.
Share outside Connie (optional)
Under Share with external people, choose Anyone with the link, then click Copy link. Anyone with the link can open a read-only copy of the dashboard without signing in. There are no email invites: the link itself is the access.
To stop sharing the link, switch external access back to Invited people only. The old link stops working immediately. If you turn it on again, copy the new link.
Only the person who created the view, or a workspace owner or admin, can change its sharing.
What people see on a shared link
- The view’s cards and charts, read-only, in a light theme.
- It refreshes every 60 seconds.
- They can’t filter, open records, or reach anything else in your workspace.
The sharing window says viewers can’t change the date range. In practice, people with the link can pick a different date range and open See who replied on the Replies card. Keep that in mind before sharing a link outside your company.
Tool activity is a table of every paid tool run in your workspace: who ran it, how, and what it cost. It’s useful when you want to know where credits went.
Where: https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/analytics/tool-used (there’s no menu link; open it by URL)
- Filter by date (Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or a custom range: choose both dates to update the table), by Who (Everyone, System, a member, or an API key) and by Tool. Click Refresh to reload.
- Columns: When, Who, Key, Tool, Action, Status, Cost. 50 rows per page.
- Statuses:
- Succeeded — charged and never refunded.
- Failed — the run failed and its credits were refunded.
- Not run — credits were held but the step never ran, so they were released.
- Refunded — the charge was refunded.
- Unknown — an older run recorded before failures were linked to their charge.
Any workspace member can open it. For every credit movement (not just tool runs), use the credit usage log in Settings → Logs. See Credits.
Good to know
- Who can see what: every member sees the Default view, views shared with everyone, views they created, and views shared with them.
- Who can edit: any member can edit the Default view and views shared with everyone. A view limited to selected members can be edited by its creator, workspace owners and admins, and members set to Can edit.
- Who can delete: the view’s creator or a workspace owner or admin. The Default view can’t be deleted.
- Freshness: numbers are kept for up to 10 minutes and don’t refresh on their own. Your own edits show at once. Reload the page to see the latest numbers.
- Credits: Analytics doesn’t use credits, including Build with AI and natural-language filters.
- AI limits: Build with AI and natural-language filters are limited to 20 requests a minute and 120 an hour per person, plus a daily and monthly usage budget.
- Large data: saved cards are calculated from up to 50,000 rows, and the builder preview from up to 2,000. If a card shows a partial chip, it hit that limit and the real number is at least what’s shown.
- Analytics is available on every plan.
Troubleshooting
The numbers didn't update after new activity
Why: numbers are kept for up to 10 minutes and the page doesn’t refresh itself. Fix: reload the page.
Messages sent or Replies is lower than what I see in my Inbox
Why: these cards only count messages sent by workflow send steps, and replies to those messages. Messages you send by hand from the Inbox aren’t counted. Fix: this is expected. To count something else, build your own metric with Add metric.
Pipeline value changes when I change the date range
Why: it adds up deals created in the range, not all open deals. Fix: choose All time for the total of every deal, or build a metric on Deals filtered by stage.
Calls booked counts calls that were not booked meetings
Why: the card counts every call record in the range, whatever its outcome. Fix: build a metric on Calls with a filter on the field you care about.
I changed the date range or filters and it changed for my teammates too
Why: the range and filters are saved on the view, and the view is shared. Fix: Duplicate the view and make personal changes on your copy.
Only the view’s creator or a workspace admin can change sharing
Why: only the creator of a view or a workspace owner or admin can change who it’s shared with. Fix: ask one of them.
You have view-only access to this view
Why: the view is shared with you as Can view. Fix: ask the creator or an admin to set you to Can edit, or Duplicate it.
Couldn't load this workspace's views, so changes can't be saved.
Why: Connie couldn’t load your views. Fix: click Retry in the message, or reload the page.
A card shows a dash and Couldn’t load
Why: that one number failed to load. Fix: reload the page.
A card shows a partial chip
Why: the calculation reached its row limit, so the number shown is a minimum. Fix: narrow the date range or add filters.
Build with AI says Couldn’t build a metric from that
Why: Connie couldn’t turn the description into a metric, or you hit the AI request limit. Fix: rephrase it more simply (for example “deals by stage”), or wait a minute and try again. You can always build the metric by hand.
The shared link stopped working
Why: external access was turned off (which cancels the link immediately), or the view was deleted. The page then says “This shared dashboard link is invalid.” Fix: ask the view’s creator or an admin to set Anyone with the link again and send you the new link.
Could not load this shared dashboard.
Why: the shared page couldn’t load its data, or the link is missing part of its address (“This shared dashboard link is missing its access token.”). Fix: reload, and make sure you copied the whole link.
Tool activity says You do not have access to this workspace’s activity.
Why: you aren’t a member of that workspace, or the workspace ID in the address is wrong. Fix: open Tool activity from a workspace you belong to.
