Connie emails you about things that need your attention, such as a failed payment, a workflow error, a task assigned to you, or a disconnected account. Most of these emails follow your choices in Settings → Notifications. A few, such as invitations and meeting recaps, are controlled elsewhere. This page lists them all. Where to turn emails on or off: click your name and workspace at the bottom of the left sidebar → Settings → Notifications · https://connie.ai/settings/notifications

What Connie emails look like

  • They come from Connie <noreply@connie.ai>.
  • Emails about a specific workspace start with the workspace name in square brackets, for example “[Acme Sales] Approval needed: Weekly outreach”, and show a “Workspace:” line at the top.
  • The footer says “You received this because you have notifications enabled in Connie.” with a Manage notification preferences link. The link opens your notification settings (you’ll be asked to sign in first if you aren’t).
In the tables below, square brackets mark the part of the subject that changes, for example [workflow].

Emails you can turn on or off

Each email belongs to a row in Settings → Notifications → Activity. Turn off that row’s Email switch to stop it. “Admins” means workspace owners and admins.

Workspace and billing

These are under Payment & subscription issue, which can’t be turned off, because they affect whether your account keeps working. Under Credit balance warnings: Under New member joined (email off by default) and Role changes:

Workflows

For Require approval steps, the “Approval needed” email is only sent when Email reviewers about approval requests is on (under Workflow approvals at the bottom of Settings → Notifications). It’s off by default. See Notifications.

Records

@mentions in comments on a record or a field don’t send an email. They only appear in the bell.

Inbox and connected apps

Meetings and calls

AI tasks

All of these have email off by default.

Emails that don’t follow your notification settings

These emails aren’t controlled by Settings → Notifications.
The “Account Disconnected” email says “Active flows using this account will fail until it is reconnected.” Its Reconnect Account button may not open the right page. Reconnect the account from Tools in Connie instead. See Connect your apps or, for email and LinkedIn inboxes, Connect Inbox accounts.

Turn off an email

1

Open notification settings

Click Manage notification preferences at the bottom of the email, or go to Settings → Notifications in Connie.
2

Find the row

Use the tables above to find which Activity row the email belongs to.
3

Turn off Email

Switch off the Email switch on that row. You’ll still see the event in the bell unless you switch off In-app too.
There’s no one-click unsubscribe link in Connie’s emails. Use the steps above. Payment & subscription issue emails can’t be turned off. Owners and admins can also turn off email for a teammate: pick them in Editing: You and click Turn off all email. See Notifications.

Good to know

  • Your email choices apply in every workspace you belong to. An owner or admin can override them for their workspace.
  • To avoid floods, Connie sends at most one email of the same kind about the same thing per hour (or per 30 minutes for less urgent ones). Payment and other critical emails are never held back.
  • Emails are free. They don’t use credits.
  • Connie doesn’t email a reminder before your plan renews, and buying a credit pack shows a confirmation in the app rather than an emailed receipt from Connie. See Manage your subscription.

Troubleshooting

Why: they may be in spam, blocked by your company’s email filter, or switched off. Fix:
  1. Search your inbox, spam and promotions folders for noreply@connie.ai.
  2. Ask your IT team to allow emails from noreply@connie.ai.
  3. Check Settings → Notifications and make sure Email is on for the rows you want. If you see “Set by owner” on a row, an owner or admin changed it for you.
Why: these only go to workspace owners and admins. Fix: ask an owner or admin, or ask to be made an admin. See Members and roles.
Why: the completion email is off by default, only goes to owners and admins, and is only sent for runs of 30 seconds or more. Fix: an admin can turn on Workflow completions → Email.
Why: Email reviewers about approval requests is off by default, or the reviewer switched off Approval tasks → Email. Fix: turn on the workspace switch at the bottom of Settings → Notifications, and check the reviewer’s own switch.
Why: most rows email you by default. Fix: switch off Email on the rows you don’t need. Owners and admins can use Turn off all email for a teammate.
Why: the “[App] Account Disconnected” email goes to every member and doesn’t follow notification settings. Fix: reconnect the account from Tools (or from Inbox for email and LinkedIn accounts). The emails stop once it’s connected.
Why: Task due sends one reminder for each overdue task, every day. Fix: complete the task, change its due date, or switch off Records → Task due → Email.
Why: it’s sent at 09:00 UTC, not your local time. Fix: nothing to change; the time can’t be set today.
Why: invitations expire after 7 days, or the email went to spam. Fix: check spam for noreply@connie.ai, then ask the workspace owner or admin to resend the invitation from Settings → Members. Resending restarts the 7 days.
Why: Send recap email may be off, or you’re not in the chosen recipients (Host by default; Attendees is optional). Fix: check Settings → Calls → Recap email. See Meetings.
Why: emails about a workspace start with that workspace’s name, so you can tell workspaces apart. Fix: nothing to fix.
