Enrichment means filling in missing information about your records automatically — for example finding a person’s work email from their LinkedIn URL, or asking AI to summarise what a company does. In Connie you do this with action columns (also called enrichment columns): a column that runs a tool or AI on each row and writes the result into the cell. Where: open any list in Records → + (Add a column) at the end of the header row, or Actions → Add an action / column · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/records/<list-id>

Add an enrichment or AI column

1

Open the column picker

In a list, click + at the end of the header row, or Actions → Add an action / column.
2

Pick an action

Browse the categories — All, AI, Data & Logic, Enrichment, LinkedIn, Email & Messaging, Sales, Productivity, Automation, Workflows, Connectors & Settings and Basic — or click View all actions. Hover an action to see its cost: a coin with the number of credits, Free, or Varies for usage-based actions.
3

Configure the inputs

In the panel that opens, tell the action which columns to use — for example map LinkedIn URL to the LinkedIn URL column.
4

Optional: only run on some rows

Switch on Only run if and add conditions — for example only rows where Email is empty — so you don’t pay for rows that don’t need it.
5

Test it on one row

Click Test on first Record (or Test on N selected if you ticked rows). You’ll see “Testing on 1 Record — watch the column fill in.”
A test is a real run: “This is a real run: it writes that cell and uses credits.” Test on one row before running a whole list.

Kinds of action columns

  • Tool columns — any action from the catalogue, such as find an email, find a phone number, look up company data, or scrape a page. See Tools.
  • Waterfall — “Runs several enrichment providers in order and keeps the first result found, so you only pay for the ones that hit.”
  • AI Agent — gives Connie instructions to research or write something for each row (for example “Summarise this company’s product in one sentence”).
  • Add to workflow — adds each row to a workflow.

Run a column on many rows

You choose when columns run and on how many rows. From the column header — right-click the column header (or open its dropdown). The Run enrichment section offers First 3, 10, 100, 500 or 1000 rows, a custom number, Empty rows (N) and All rows (N). From selected rows — tick the rows, then click Enrich in the selection bar, or right-click → Run N rows. Several columns at once:
1

Open Run enrichment

Click Actions → Run enrichment. (This option appears once the list has at least one enrichment column.)
2

Choose the rows

Under Rows to enrich, pick a preset or First N rows. “All rows” and “Empty rows” cover every row in the view, including ones not loaded yet. “First N” only uses the rows loaded so far.
3

Choose the columns

Tick the columns to run. Each shows how many cells are empty. A column marked Needs setup (“Missing: …”) is skipped until you click Configure and fill in its inputs.
4

Start

Click Enrich N columns. Cells fill in as results arrive.
Choose Empty rows to fill only the gaps — rows that already have a value aren’t charged again.

What it costs

Credits are Connie’s usage currency.
  • Each run on a row costs the action’s credit price, shown when you hover it in the column picker and on the Tools page.
  • Waterfall and other find-style lookups charge only when a result is found. A miss is free.
  • The AI Agent column shows a minimum estimate, because the final cost depends on how much AI work the row needs (Varies).
  • Owners and admins can see what a single record has cost in its side panel: “This row has cost N credits”. If its email or phone came from a lookup billed to another record, it adds “Its email/phone came from a lookup charged to another record.”
  • Your full usage history is in Settings → Logs.

Good to know

  • Use Only run if to limit which rows a run touches.
  • “First N” runs are limited to rows already loaded in the grid. Scroll to load more, or pick All rows / Empty rows.
  • Members with view-only access can’t add columns (“You are in view-only mode”).

Troubleshooting

Why: your workspace doesn’t have enough credits to continue. The dialog shows your Current balance and the next step for you: Add credits, Choose a plan, Start N-day trial, Resume trial, Update payment, or Ask an admin if you can’t buy credits yourself. Fix: follow that step, then click Run again. See Top-ups and Credits.
Why: a test is a real, billed run and your balance is too low. Fix: add credits, then test again.
Why: a required input isn’t mapped (“Missing: …”). Fix: click Configure and fill in the missing input.
Why: “First N” only covers rows already loaded (“Only N rows are loaded, so that is the most a First N run can cover”). Fix: scroll down to load more rows, or choose All rows or Empty rows.
Why: Run enrichment needs at least one action column. Fix: add one from Actions → Add an action / column, then come back.
Why: an Only run if condition depends on a column that in turn depends on this one. Fix: change the condition so it doesn’t refer back to this column.
Why: no provider had a result for that person. You aren’t charged for misses. Fix: check the input (for example the LinkedIn URL) is correct, or try a Waterfall column that checks several sources.
