Add Connie to Cursor so Cursor’s agent can work in your Connie workspace. You need Cursor installed (cursor.com/download). Where in Connie: click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar → Connect my agent → Cursor · https://connie.ai/<workspace-id>/connect-agent/cursor
Connie’s in-app Cursor guide has two tabs: Prompt and Manual. The Prompt tab gives you a setup prompt that contains your personal API key. We recommend the Manual tab, described below. It signs you in with your Connie account and keeps no key in your chat history.
1

Open the install link

In Connie, open Connect my agent → Cursor → Manual and copy the Install link. Open it in your browser and click Open Cursor when your browser asks.
2

Install Connie

Check that the name is Connie and the server URL is https://mcp.connie.ai, then click Install.
3

Connie appears under Needs Attention. Click Authenticate and your browser opens.
4

Allow access in Connie

Sign in to Connie if you’re asked. Choose your Default workspace and click Allow access. When you see “Authorization complete”, go back to Cursor.
5

Allow Connie's tools

Connie now shows under Connected. Click Connie to open its settings. Under Tools, set Reads and Writes to Allow all, then click Done.
6

Use Connie

Open a new chat and ask something like: “Find 10 VPs or Heads of Sales at US B2B SaaS companies with 50–500 employees, and go ahead and save them to a new list in Connie.”

Connect with mcp.json

Add Connie to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all your projects, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one project:
mcp.json
Save the file. Connie appears in Cursor’s MCP settings under Needs Attention. Click Authenticate and continue from step 4 above.

Good to know

  • No API key needed. Cursor signs in with OAuth. Don’t add mcp-remote or a local command; Cursor connects to Connie directly.
  • This connects Cursor on this computer across your projects. Cursor’s cloud agents need separate setup.
  • Which workspace: the Default workspace you chose, unless you name another in your request. See Manage access.
  • Credits: actions use your Connie workspace’s credits. See Credits.

Troubleshooting

Fix: click Authenticate and finish Allow access in the browser. If the browser didn’t open, click Authenticate again.
Fix: open Connie in Cursor’s MCP settings and set Reads and Writes to Allow all.
Why: Cursor has no live sign-in left, for example after you revoked it or didn’t use it for 30 days. Fix: click Authenticate on Connie in Cursor’s MCP settings and allow access again.
