What is the Calls module?

Calls turns live meetings into structured, searchable records. A recording bot joins a meeting, captures audio and a speaker-attributed transcript, and the AI produces a summary, key topics, and suggested action items — each call lands as a first-class record you can read, search, link to a contact, and act on.

Recording bot

Send a bot into any Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams meeting to capture audio and transcript.

Transcripts

Speaker-attributed, timestamped transcripts plus a signed recording URL for playback.

Intelligence

AI-generated summary, sentiment, and key topics — plus suggested action items drawn from the conversation.

CRM linkage

Link a call to a CRM contact so the conversation is attached to the right relationship.

How a call is captured

  1. Dispatch a bot to a meeting URL (or an instant meeting you create). The bot joins as a participant.
  2. The meeting is recorded and transcribed — audio, a speaker-attributed transcript, and participant events are captured.
  3. The AI analyzes the call — it generates a summary, sentiment, key topics, and a set of suggested action items.
  4. The call becomes a record — available via the API and in the workspace, ready to search, link, and act on.
The summary, sentiment, and suggested actions are AI estimates derived from the transcript — useful starting points to review and edit, not measured facts.

Recording a meeting

Two ways to get a bot onto a call: join dispatches a bot to a meeting URL (Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams). Once the call completes, its transcript and intelligence become available on the call record.

Reading calls

The transcript is speaker-attributed and timestamped; the recording endpoint returns a short-lived signed URL for playback.

Action items

Each call yields a set of AI-suggested action items — follow-up emails, CRM updates, tasks, and notes drawn from what was discussed. You review them, then execute or update their status through the API: Executing an action carries it out against the relevant module — for example sending an email or writing the update into the CRM.

Linking a call to your CRM

Attach a call to the contact it belongs to so the conversation lives alongside the rest of that relationship:

Common workflows

Record a sales call and follow up

  1. POST /api/calls/join with the meeting URL before the call starts
  2. After the call, read the summary and suggested actions on the call record
  3. Link the call to the prospect’s CRM contact
  4. Execute the follow-up actions you approve (e.g. a recap email)

Pull a transcript into your own tooling

  1. GET /api/calls to find the call
  2. GET /api/calls/{id}/transcript for the speaker-attributed transcript
  3. Process it however you need — your own summarization, search index, or analytics
