# Update a chat's sharing

> Replaces a chat's sharing settings. Owner only. Invited members can open the chat and post in it. Turning the public link on creates a read-only link; turning it off kills that link for good, and turning it on again makes a new one. Post-call follow-up chats can't be shared.
